Library

bv library

Our library provides students with a wide array of fiction and nonfiction books available for students to browse and checkout. Our collection supports the elementary curriculum while providing students with age-appropriate and entertaining materials to encourage a love of reading.

Each class visits our library on a regular basis for thirty minutes to explore and enjoy literature, learn library and information skills and to check out books. TK-2nd graders visit every week and can bring home one book each visit. 3rd-5th graders visit every other week and can bring home two books.

JEFF KINNEY DONATES $1500 TO BELLA VISTA'S LIBRARY

JEFF KINNEY

Jeff Kinney, author of the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, invited Ms. Cindi to participate in his book tour in October 2023. Ms. Cindi aced his book trivia game and was awarded a $1500 donation from Mr. Kinney to benefit the Bella Vista Library.

In an article from SLJ, Mr. Kinney shared his reason for  supporting libraries:
“We just see this need and opportunity to celebrate librarians. So that's what we're hoping, to bring a lot of joy with us and to really make a point of recognizing how important libraries are to our communities and how much they need to be supported right now.”

Thank you Mr. Kinney!!!
